My name is Habanabakize Eric and I reside in Rwamagana District. my life has been a journey filled with challenges and triumphs. Growing up, I faced many obstacles that made my education a constant struggle. There were times when my family couldn’t afford school fees, forcing me to drop out repeatedly. One year, I would attend school, and the next year, I would have to leave because we simply couldn’t pay.
During those difficult years, I tried many different jobs. I worked hard, but failure seemed to follow me. I attempted to make a living through various means—like making music and dancing in different places in hopes of earning some money. I sold eggs, nuts, and maize, doing whatever I could to get by. Life felt like an uphill battle.

But everything began to change when I met Ndahei. They saw my struggles and stepped in to help me with the school fees and necessary materials for my education. After years of feeling lost and living on the streets, I finally started to see the sun shining in my life again. Ndahei believed in me when I didn’t believe in myself.
With their support, I returned to school, committed to making the most of this second chance. I worked hard, and my efforts paid off. Today, I am proud to say that I am a teacher in a primary school. I get to share my knowledge and help other children who might be facing similar challenges.

I am incredibly grateful for the kindness and support I received from Ndahei. They didn’t just help me with my education; they helped me believe in my potential. I hope my story inspires others to never give up, no matter how hard life may seem. With determination and support, we can overcome our struggles and achieve our dreams. Thank you.
